Welcome to Through the Threshold: Introducing Hekate Into Your Practice
An exclusive course presented by the Sanctuary of the Crossroads

Hekate is the many-named and many-formed Goddess of the Crossroads. She is a goddess of the underworld, a goddess of protection, the keykeeper of all the realms, and much more.

Many are drawn to her and want to take the next steps in getting to know her, but don’t know what to do or where to start.

Through the Threshold is a course for aspiring worshippers of Hekate who want to learn more about the goddess through the lens of hellenic polytheism with a touch of modern witchcraft. This is also a great jumping point for introducing Hekate into your active practice, no matter if you consider yourself a beginner or more advanced. 

If you enjoy a bit of structured study with assigned readings, live discussions and lectures, and a collaborative environment, this course might be for you!

Across four weeks, from dark moon to dark moon, we will…

  • Meet for two live lectures and two group drop-in sessions with opportunities for group discussion and questions.
  • Dive into Hekate’s history of worship and theories of origin.
  • Explore Hekate’s mythology and what her myths can mean for modern worshippers.
  • Brainstorm actionable ways to begin your journey with Hekate.
  • Honour Hekate’s tradition while making her accessible for all.
  • And we will come together for a dark moon circle at the end of our journey to reflect, meditate, and give thanks to the goddess.

You can expect personalised feedback for two reflective assignments that will grow your understanding of Hekate and how you might move forward with her on your path. You will also receive a ritual script for connecting with Hekate that you can adapt for the unique elements of your practice or use as written!

All students will gain access to a private section of the SotC discord server to share their progress and ideas. 

This course is delivered online. Anyone who enrols will maintain lifetime access to the recorded lectures and shared resources!

Meet your Teacher

Quinton Li (they/them) is a Timorese-Australian, queer, non-binary, and neurodivergent storyteller, educator, anthology curator, and counsellor-in-training based in Naarm. They are also a practicing witch, devotional polytheist, tarot reader, Seer, and priestex. In service to Hekate, they are a hiereus-in-training under Mt Nysa Mystery School and they run the Sanctuary of the Crossroads, an online temple and community bringing the curious and devoted together through events, resources, and companionship. They hold devotion and working relationships with over a handful of deities and archangels who guide and inspire their path. Find more at quintonli.com.
