Prayer Requests

You can find our hub for prayers and requests on our Discord server in ⁠#╰・᯽・prayers!

In this channel, you can share prayers that you write to Hekate or other deities, or request written prayers from others. Do note that we specify written prayers rather than this channel being used to ask people to pray on your behalf. Important notes about usage:

• If you would like to use another person’s prayer, if you did not request it directly, make sure to ask the original author for permission.
• Authors have the right to refuse permission requests, though should acknowledge the nature of the open channel when posting prayers. This means prayers are subject to being used without knowledge, though we will always encourage a culture of asking first.
• Authors can include in their prayer message whether they are open to sharing or not, and if credit is required.

How To Request a Prayer

Prayers can only be requested for general intentions, rather than individual-specific situations. Please avoid using this channel as a space to vent or solicit support beyond written prayers to use in your practice. What is a general intention?

• “Is anyone able to share a protection prayer with Hekate Apotropaia?” rather than specifying the nature of the situation you are requiring protection for.
• “Can I request a prayer to Athena to help with studying?” rather than sharing your individual circumstances as a student.
• “Does anyone have a prayer for Hekate Kleidouchos and Dadouchos?” rather than detailing why you may need this prayer.

The @/Prayer Requests ping can be used when posting requests. If you want to help write prayers in response to requests, you can assign the role in ⁠#✺・roles to be tagged!
