Bay Laurels for Hekate

The Initiative

This project is for worshippers who aren’t able to celebrate or provide offerings to Hekate on Hekate’s Deipnon for any reason. We provide a service to do a bay leaf offering to Hekate on your behalf, alongside petitions for protection and guidance.

The Ritualist

This service is hosted by Quinton (@quinn on Discord, @enodia-polymorphous on tumblr, and @crossroadsoftarot elsewhere).

The Ritual

Quinton will conduct their usual deipnon ritual and include this community offering, as follows:

• Gathering of items and procession to the altar.
• Purification with khernips, having physically cleansed and dressed in clean clothes prior.
• Invocation of Hekate.
• Prayers and hymns to Hekate in petition of purification and protection as we move into the new lunar month/cycle.
• Libation (poured entirely to Hekate, as a chthonic offering on this occasion).
• Offerings (fruits, grains, garlic).
• Community offerings (from this initiative)
• Closing prayers and gratitude.
• Ashes and offerings safely left at a crossroads outdoors.

Claiming a Bay Leaf

You are welcome to claim a bay leaf for the next deipnon through the form below. There is no charge! But we do appreciate tips via Quinton’s Ko-fi to maintain supplies.

This form will be closed as we transition from the last day for submissions to next noumenia. It will reopen on noumenia or soon after to begin taking names again. They will also post when this happens on the discord server, their shrine blog, or tiktok.

This form is subject to early closing if we reach a maximum number of bay leaves (as per available supplies).

Please note that it is required to resubmit your name for each deipnon you wish to partake in!
