Day 1: Household Gods and Guardians
The home was one of the most sacred spaces in ancient Greek religion, watched over by a whole host of divine protectors who blessed the hearth, doorway, storerooms, and family!
Join El for a lesson and discussion exploring the history and worship of the household gods and guardians of ancient Greece! Together, we’ll examine the role of the oikos in Greek religious life, meet the deities and spirits that were traditionally honored in the home, and explore how these ancient practices can inspire modern household devotion.

Day 2: Home Guardian Workshop
In the first white sliver of the moon, we celebrate the household Gods! And the night after, we celebrate the Agathos Daimon, our personal protector spirit. The Athenian New Year approaches and what better way to prepare for it than to make connections with the spirits and deities who turn houses into homes. Whether this is your first time connecting and offering to the Agathos Daimon, or you already have a connection with them, this workshop will guide you through a petition of protection with them.

Day 3: Blessing of the Oikos
An Athenian New Year begins with a blessed and protected home! Join us as we honor the household gods and guardians of Ancient Greece. In this ritual, we will invite the divine beings of the oikos to watch over our homes and all who dwell within them for the year ahead!
El will be leading this ritual, and attendees are welcome to follow along and participate from their own household shrine or altar! All are welcome to join in this celebration of the new year!
